Today's trek had moderate elevations gains, which went through hillside hamlets. Our first coffee stop was three hours later, in a home an older women set up for peregrinos to stop at. The inside bar area was rustic, and it looked like it used to be her garage and storage area. In the outskirts of Aviles more factories appeared. Not a pleasant sight, but as we entered Aviles old town we were surprised by its historic beauty. And there was a large shopping area with many trendy stores. Not a high priority for us, but it was nice to stroll along with many of the local families doing the same.
