Sept 12, 2016 Ansiao 15km
A shorter walk today, but lots of elevation. The walk was pleasant, going through tiny mountain villages and going through some rough terrain, which becomes problematic during descents. Lots of fruit trees on the trail and enjoying apricots, figs and grapes. We found a rest area with picnic tables made out of stone and in shade, only to discover that we were 1km from the Ansiao town centre. It's always a time to rejoice when we find suitable accommodations. Just a FYI for the ladies....if you can't find a hotel room there's always a bed at the local fire hall.
