Sept 18-22 Toulouse

Great town to visit, but our mobility around town was greatly limited by Julie's foot injury. Lucky our hotel is close to the centre. Our walking pace is slower than normal, but we are visiting some monuments- and there are many. There are also many trendy restaurants to choose from and the food choices are broad - French(of course), asian, south asian and even Mexican.

After spending our first two weeks in small villages, its a bit overwhelming being in a large city. In many of the small towns there were few people on the streets, but in Toulouse we need to contend with crowds of people on the sidewalk. We not only have look out for cars, but also cyclists who weave around pedestrians. Two-wheel scooters (push and electric) are also popular by adults to get around.

Kids zone outside of pre school. Kids learn very early to commute on two wheels.

Beautiful old buildings, with so much character

Not working for you Julie

Cafes and restaurants surrounded by beautiful residential buildings.

The local market

Cathedral

We went to this market every day to buy fruit.

There are so many beautiful buildings well preserved.
