This has been the most picturesque Camino yet, making our way though mountain valleys along streams most of the way.
At a coffee stop we met a Canadian who we had first met at the Toronto airport on Sept 5th. She too was travelling to start the Camino. She started her Camino before us and therefore it was truly amazing to meet again.
Las Herrerias is a little hamlet at the base of the mountain we will ascend tomorrow. Many pilgrims are staying in the town and ascending the mountain when it is cooler and legs are fresh. We heard some pilgrims might hire a horse @35Euros to do the 8km ascent. I hope they rethink this. It is cheaper and faster to call a taxi!
