Our hotel, Centara Sandy Beach Resort is set in a beautiful and long sandy beach about 15 km from the city centre. The weather is not ideal to go swimming in the ocean. There are strong winds and high waves pounding all day and night. The waves are noisy but soothing.

Historical Note: this is My Khe Beach that was nicknamed "China Beach". During the Vietnam War, the Americans would come for RnR. China Beach was also an American TV series.

We took the hotel shuttle to Danang and needed to cross the Dragon Bridge to reach the city centre. Its not a big downtown and there are a few monuments to visit. And it is the Dragon Bridge people come to visit, and on weekends at 9:00pm the dragon shoots flames.
