Day 2 in Hanoi, and recovered (somewhat) from jet-lag. We got up at 4:30am, and wide awake, and therefore a good time to organize photos and make a blog entry. At 7:30am off for a walk and amazing how many businesses were open at that time. Back to our hotel by 8:30am for breakfast with David and Llew-Anne. After breakfast we made travel arrangements to Halong Bay, and then off to explore Hanoi.
Our first visit was the temple.

The next stop was the lake.
We met a teacher, from England, teaching in Hanoi. The students had just visited the only McDonald's restaurant in Hanoi.
Afterwards we explored the city. It is interesting how the bicycle and motorbike are used to transport and sell goods.
