During breakfast we agreed to walk to the Ancient Citadel, not really knowing much about the monument. And we were pleasantly surprised of the history and restoration. It being Saturday there were many events around town, specifically weddings. And we were fortunate to experience their photo shoots around town and at the Citadel.

We didn't know the purpose of the structure, but eventually Llew-Anne figured out it was to burn incense. I tried asking people but could not find anyone that spoke English.
