To Atalaia

Sept 8, 2016 Atalaia 20km
The walks are exhausting and even 8 hrs of sleep is not enough. I could have easily slept in to 8am. But it's time to move on. Helena served us breakfast and sent us off with a photo for social media and a kiss goodbye. The trek today followed rural roads and an old historical site Quinta Cardiga. The rural area reminded me of Chilliwack, with corn fields covering the landscape. The large sprinkler systems were working today and we enjoyed the sprays onto the Camino. This area is known for its horses which is evident in bars and restaurants, with many photos and perifinalia on the walls. We found our B&B Casa do Patriarca, a retired estate, which is now a location destination for weddings and special events.
This looks like a scary church to attend.

Quinta Cardiga...could have been an old convent.
