Oct 2, Cadavedo 24km

The trek was to be 19km, but we decided to avoid 5 of the 7 descents/ascents. This added about 5km to the trek. The first descent was steep and a rough terrain, which took about 30 minutes to complete 1km. I carried Julie's backpack part of the way down and she took off her shoes to cross the stream, and was shaking with fear, scared of falling in. Some walkers took the mountain route, but we wanted to follow the coastal route. And the views were spectacular! Also, Julie favoured this route because she knew there would be more cats encountered. We stayed at Casa Ina, which included a kitchen and we were able to cook some burgers and microwave a small frozen lasagna. Its been so long since we've cooked our own meal.

After today's trek, 260km to go.

The terrain was rough and wet  today.
It was scary for Julie.

Lots of offerings at religious sites.
 One rock with Julie's name.

Driverless lawn mowers are very popular.

This guy is looking for love.

Blow up this picture to see the water falling.

Many chapels on route. Many can not be entered and often there is a gate stopping entry.

This young cat just had babies. The women we met took us into her car garage to see her animals.

The coastal route is awesome!

Cadavedo is primary summer vacation destination, with camp grounds and small apartment rentals. The beach is the big attraction, which is 1km away.
