Oct 3, Luarca 20km

Again we kept to the coast to enjoy the water views, and another day of delight for Julie as she met more friendly cats. There were only a two restaurants along the route, which we took advantage of. And I discovered it was not a bright idea to drink a glass of wine with our Spanish tortilla. I lost my get up and go. Luarca is an interesting town, built on the steep slopes above the waterways leading to the ocean.

Our room at Hotel de Ville de Luarca, an old building but well preserved. The room has many antiques, and a cozy and sunny sitting room.

This little guy was hiding in the bushes. He purred like crazy when we picked him up.

The terrain was much more friendly today.

The main plaza in Luarca. Looking a little more modern.
