Sept 8, Saturday, Aumont Aubrac 15km

OMG, I have nothing to complain about today. The weather was excellent, the terrain scenic, and we met some wonderful people along the trek.

The trail today passed through many little villages and rolling hills, and forests, providing natural shade along the route. There was one memorial moment where the terrain was sloped and Julie slipped and fell and could not get back up. Having a backpack made her like a turtle who has no means to turn around.  Lucky I was there to help her back up. But could you imagine if she was alone! How long a wait before someone came along? Like a turtle, she would become prey to wild animals. Weird, but there's lots of time on the camino to conger up many scenarios.

We arrived to Aubrac at about 1:30pm, but unfortunately our hotel was closed until 4:00pm. Not a problem. Off to the restaurant for drinks and food. The hotel has a nice courtyard where we spent time with Eric, who was also waiting for a room.
